Eco Friendly
We are an eco-friendly business and we need your help to carry out the proper recycling of our packaging on your end. This is a team effort!
SOFT PLASTIC:
Soft plastic refers to any type of plastic that can be scrunched up into a ball. This can be recycled in a soft plastics bin. Take five minutes and head over to www.redcycle.net.au to see what counts as soft plastic and to find your closest soft plastics recycling location.
HARD PLASTIC:
Make sure to empty and lightly rinse items before recycling them. This little effort can go a long way
Cut the rings of plastic bottlenecks and six-pack holders to reduce harm to animals
Producing plastics from recycled materials saves approximately 88% of the energy required to make plastic from the raw materials of oil and gas. The energy saved by recycling one plastic drink bottle would power a computer for 25 minutes.
PAPER AND CARDBOARD:
Most cardboard is produced from recycled paper and can be recycled many times over. The simple act of flattening cardboard and paper not only means you'll fit more in your recycle bin, but it will actually move through the sorting station in the best way possible.
When paper is disposed of in landfill rather than recycled, it creates methane as it breaks down. Methane is a major greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming with a life span twenty-one times longer than carbon dioxide.
Refuse • Reduce • Reuse • Recycle
REFUSE: You can cut down your waste by simply refusing to buy individually packaged items and single-use plastics.
REDUCE: Part of throwing away less is buying less and being more mindful as a consumer. Before you purchase something, consider whether you really need it.
REUSE: Before throwing away trash, consider whether it can be repurposed as something else.
RECYCLE: Make sure to properly clean your items before recycling them. It's in your best interest.
Recycled plastic items are initially sorted into different types of plastic. The plastic is ground into chips or flakes and washed to remove labels or residue. The plastic is then dried, melted and formed into pellets, which can be used to manufacture new products such as artificial fleece, carpeting, floor mats, tiles, furniture, motor oil, plant pots, garden furniture, detergent bottles and pipes.
